Q&As

Why are prices so different?

Prices can vary for many reasons.  Obviously UK costs such as rent, rates, labour are much higher than in North Cyprus.  The type and quality of materials used can also have an impact on prices charged.

Are the costs saving significant?

They can be very significant, particularly for implant work and a fair number of crowns.  Prices can be a third of the prices that you would expect to pay in the UK.

How long do treatments last?

This depends on the treatment plan.  For dental implants, treatments on the whole can last 3 months.  If you are travellıng from outside of North Cyprus, it is very likely that 2 visits will be required. Full mouth crown work should be completed within one visit of 2 weeks duration.  Anything less than that should be completed sooner.

How is payment made?

Payment is made directly to the dentist, either as a lump sum or in instalments according to the payment plan.  Payment can be made in cash or card or by bank transfer.

As part of our open and honest approach, we are includıng questions recommended by the UK’s General Dental Council (GDC) to provide any re-assurance you may need about dental treatments abroad with Dentalinc.

Who will be carrying out my treatment and what qualifications do they have?

Dr Nural Temelci will be the dentist carrying out implant and crown-based work.  He is a fully qualified dental practitioner, graduating from the University of Istanbul. He has undertaken his implantology training through the internationally recognised International Team for Implantology (ITI) and through his professional development became a fellow of the ITI.

Will the dental team speak English? If not, will you provide a translator on the day of the procedure?

The dentists can speak English.  In addition, Dentalinc will be right beside the patient at the outset of treatment to make sure everything is fully understood.

Do you have any references or testimonials from previous patients?
How many times have you carried out the procedure I am having? What are the rates of success, complication, readmission and infection?

For implants, the clinic has been administering implants for over 15 years.  The success rate is very high with thousands of implants successfully administered.

For crown work, over 30 years’ experience.  By having an in-house team of dental technicians, any slight discomfort is quickly and easily resolved

Are you regulated by a professional body and do you have to be registered with them?

Yes, all dentists need to be registered and affiliated to the Cyprus Turkish Dental Chamber which in turn is part of the General Medical Council

What aftercare do you provide?

Depending on the treatment, aftercare can vary.  Immediate after-care is provided for.  Once a patient returns to their country we can support that patient through talking through the issues.

If there are complications and I need further treatment, is this included in the initial cost?

All prices are based on the treatment plan offered and accepted.  Complications rarely happen and therefore treated on an individual case by case status.

Who can I contact for advice after the treatment?

Both Dentalinc and the dentist are always on hand to help our patients.  We have worked in the past with dentists in the UK.  Occasionally, for example, because the dentist does not put permanent glue to new crowns initially, after a while the crown may become loose.  A dentist in the home country should be able to re-glue the crown. Indeed, on the few occasions this has happened, the dentist’s implant work has been complimented by the home country dentist.
